Privacy Policy for Cellbits.com
The privacy of our visitors to
Cellbits.com is important to us.
At Cellbits.com, we recognize that
privacy of your personal information is important. Here is information
on what types of personal information we receive and collect when you
use and visit Cellbits.com, and how we safeguard your information.
We never sell or trade your personal information to third parties. No
personally-identifiable information such as your name, email address, physical
address, telephone number, social security numbers, bank account numbers
or credit card numbers is collected by Cellbits.com log files or
cookies.
Log Files
As with most other websites, we collect and use the data contained in
log files. The information in the log files include your IP
(internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider, such
as AOL or Shaw Cable), the browser you used to visit our site (such as
Internet Explorer or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which
pages you visited throughout our site. IP
addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information
that is personally identifiable to you. This information will only be
used to generally analyze traffic and advertising programs, note any
server problems or file/page failures, detect any unusual activity, and
other website administrative functions, so that we may better serve you.
Cookies and Web Beacons for web
traffic analysis
Cellbits.com may also use a cookie (a
small text file) mainly to discern new and return visitors. This cookie
cannot collect any identifiable personal information from you or your
computer. The cookie can collect information such as IP addresses/ISP
info, referring or other domain names, browser or browser type used,
page load times and other similarly non-personal data. As with log
files, this information will only be used to generally analyze traffic
and advertising programs, note any server problems or file/page
failures, detect any unusual activity, and other website administrative
functions, so that we may better serve you.
Cellbits.com uses Google Analytics, Google’s website
statistical analysis tool to better understand how visitors engage with
our website. Google Analytics collects information anonymously. It
reports website trends, but does not identify individual visitors.
Analytics uses its own seperate cookie to track visitor interactions.
The cookie is used to store information, such as when the current visit
occurred, whether a visitor has been to the site before, and what site
referred the visitor to the web page. A different cookie is used for
each website using Google Analytics, and visitors are not tracked across
multiple sites. The information collected includes: referring websites,
country and city, length of visit, ISP and other similar non-personally
identifiable information. To block this type of cookie, some browsers
indicate when a cookie is being sent and will allow you to decline
cookies on an individual basis. In addition to declining cookies
case-by-case, you can also install the Google
Analytics Opt-out add-on in your browser, which blocks Google
Analytics from collecting information about your website visits.
We also use third party advertisements
on Cellbits.com. Some of these advertisers may use technology such
as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will
also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense
program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser
you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash
installed. This is generally used for geo-targeting purposes
(showing Illinois real estate ads to someone in Illinois, for example)
or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing
video game ads to someone who frequents game sites).
Currently, Cellbits.com uses the Google, Inc. AdSense program to
supply advertisements on our site. Google, as a third party vendor, uses
cookies to serve ads on Cellbits.com. Google's use of the Doubleclick
DART cookie enables it to serve ads to visitors based on their
visit to Cellbits.com and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out
of the use of the DART cookie by reading the Google
ad and content network privacy policy.
We also may use DART cookies for ad serving through Google’s DoubleClick,
which places a cookie on your computer when you are browsing the web and
visit a site using DoubleClick advertising (including some Google
AdSense advertisements). This cookie is used to serve ads specific
to you and your interests (”interest based targeting”). The
ads served will be targeted based on your previous browsing history (For
example, if you have been viewing sites about surfing, you
may see surfing equipment or surf trip adventure ads when viewing a non-related site,
such as on a site about hockey). DART uses “non personally
identifiable information”. It does NOT track personal
information about you, such as your name, email address, physical
address, telephone number, social security numbers, bank account numbers
or credit card numbers. You can opt-out of this ad serving on all
sites using this advertising by visiting http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx
Google AdSense may also serve ads from
other AdSense Certified advertising networks. For a list of ad
networks that may display ads on Cellbits.com through AdSense and/or
Doubleclick, but may require individual opt-outs, please read: Other
third-party ad networks. You can also, opt-out from some, but not
all of these and other ad networks here: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp#
Cellbits.com may also promote or advertise various offers, merchants and
companies through the Commission Junction affiliate network (CJ.com).
Like other advertising networks, cookies and web beacons may be used by
the advertisers selected to appear on our site to track visitors to
their sites from Cellbits.com. As with other internet advertising
cookies and web beacons, no personally identifiable information is
collected from an initial visit through a link or ad to an advertisers
site. More information may be collected if you choose to accept an offer
or become a registered user of the advertiser's services or products. Click
here for more information on how Commission Junction merchants and
advertisers protect your privacy when interacting with their online
advertisements and links appearing on our site.
Another or our advertising providers is Contextweb/PulsePoint. This ad server and
it's clients may use cookies to track your interaction with any of the
advertisements presented. You may learn about opting out of Contextweb
by visiting here.
Oxamedia/AdConnexa may also be utilized for ad serving on various pages
of our site. For more privacy policy information and opt-out,
please visit their site.
You can choose to disable or selectively
turn off our cookies or any third-party cookies in your browser settings, or
by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security.
However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as
well as other websites. This could include the inability to login
to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.
Deleting cookies does not mean you are
permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have
browser settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running
the advertisements, a new cookie may be added. Opting out of any
particular cookie can be cancelled if you clear cookies from your
browser regularly. Deleted opt-out cookies require renewal to be
effective.
Cellbits.com relies on WAP/mobile
internet methods for users to download cell phone content to their
individual handsets, and doesn't
require any membership or sign-up for users to download our content, so,
no mobile phone numbers or any other personally identifiable data are collected when a visitor
downloads a file (except by requesting our newsletter, as noted below). A cookie may
be used as described above for general tracking purposes, if the cell phone
browser and/or carrier allow cookies to be placed. But, as noted above,
no personally identifiable information can be or is collected by Cellbits.com .
Cellbits.com does not sell or
trade any e-mail address or any other personally identifiable contact information
you might provide to us in the course of normal business, requests
for newsletter subscriptions and other visitor contact.
